Coolmore Lightning Stakes

Flemington race 6 is the $750,000 Coolmore Lightning Stakes. This race is a standard weight for age Group 1 and will have a field limit of 16 plus 4 emergencies. Racing here is the Champion mare and the winner of the C.F. Orr Stakes Black Caviar. The champ will still be ridden by Luke Nolen and will start in barrier 5. Hay List, who's consider to be Black Caviar's rival will also be in the track and will start in barrier 7. Together in the race are Phelan Ready who will start in barrier 2, Buffering in barrier 3, Temple Of Boom in barrier 1, Secret Flyer in barrier 8, Metallurgical barrier 4, Lone Rock barrier 6 and Foxwedge in barrier 9. The winner will take out $450,000 and a trophy of $2500.
